Donald Gilbert McCune

Donald Gilbert McCune, Sr.age 78 of Connellsville, Pa passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at WVU Uniontown Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 8, 1945 in Mendon, Pa, a son of Gilbert and Viola Laverne Bailey McCune.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters: Marie McDowell, Wanda Weimer; son, William “Billy” McCune; grandson, Courtney McCune.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Viola Pearl Hardy McCune; children: Donald McCune, Jr., Sarah Wiles and her husband Dakota, Terry McCune, Noah Hardy and his wife Kelly; brothers: Dennis McCune, Richard McCune (Nancy); grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donald’s family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Barren Run Cemetery, Smithton, PA.
