Neil Bilohlavek Obituary

Neil T. Bilohavek, 59 of Perryopolis, PA passed away in his sleep at home Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was a graduate of Geibel High School, Connellsville PA, after graduation he joined the Navy in 1983 where he served on the USS Savannah. Recently, he worked for the Army Corp of Engineers in Tell City, Indiana and most recently Maxell, PA with 20 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Margaret and James Hazy, Stephen Szabo; paternal grandparents: Theresa and Andrew Bilohlavek. He is survived by his parents: Barbara Bilohlavek of Perryopolis, and Thomas Bilohlavek of Mesa, AZ;  sisters: Colette (Michael) Sandzimier of Perryopolis, Felicia (V. Gregory) Powell of Sewickley PA;  nephews: Blake, and Clayton Powell.

Neil was an avid hunter and fisherman and was happiest hunting with his cousin Dennis and friend Jimmy.

Neil’s family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at The Blair Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, PA where a Blessing Service will be held at 4 p.m. with Father Rodolfo Mejia as celebrant. Interment will follow Monday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
