Charles "CJ" Brown Obituary

Charles “CJ” John Brown, age 89 of Fayette City, PA passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela, PA. He was born on March 29, 1936 in Perryopolis, a son of Forbes and Jessie Coldren Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rex Brown.

CJ is survived by his wife, Carolyn Joyce Belcher Brown; sister, Joyce Brown Ludwick; brother, Bruce (Betsy) Brown; brother-in-law, Curt (Michele) Buttermore; various nieces and nephews.

In honoring CJ’s wishes there will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
